Traffic engineering

The various areas of traffic engineering have one common denominator: extreme environmental influences affecting the utilized components. For passenger trains, temperatures between -40°C to +85°C may apply, high vibrations affect ships and high shock loads have an impact on elevators. In some cases, all those influences may come together. Moved people should not suffer inconveniences, such as late arrivals or being stuck in elevators, due to loosened terminal connections.

Marine engineering

Marine engineering requires a gas-proof, vibration-safe connection technology. Whether icebreakers, drilling platforms, merchantmen,  navy ships or in the harbor, reliability at any given moment is of utmost importance.

Our vibration -and shock-proof CAGE CLAMP® connection systems are the solution. Since Spring of 2001, the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 is GL approved for shipbuilding purposes.

Some few weeks after the certification, the system was installed in the "Alexander von Humboldt". Equipped with an Ethernet controller, it controls and monitors the main engine.
